Educating for a better future!

Education
The Learning Center is a comprehensive multimedia facility with 15 computers staffed by a fully credentialed instructor. It is available for all the men and women Mission’s Recovery Program, transitional living after care, as well as guests in our HIS program.
“More than one-half of homeless heads of households lack a high school diploma or GED. These individuals are likely to have fewer job opportunities, work fewer hours, and earn lower wages than those with a high school diploma or GED. Without long-term steady employment, the probability of returning to homelessness greatly increases.” (Icphusa.org)
Certification Opportunities
Microsoft Office and GED Certification are both available to each guest who chooses to participate. We help them by providing an on-site instructor, and teachers who volunteer their time to provide the training needed to pass their certification.

CompTIA
CompTIA A+ is the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. It is about much more than PC repair.
– Better prepared to troubleshoot and problem solve.
– Technicians understand a wide variety of issues ranging from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security.
